The Academic Research Programmes offered by the Faculty of Dental Sciences promote application-based research and ensure student exposure to the latest ideas and research in the field.

The Doctor of Philosophy in Dental Sciences is a three-year full-time programme and a four-year part-time programme. Students learn under committed and experienced PhD guides, and are encouraged to publish in renown journals and conferences. 

The Faculty’s partnerships with global universities and industries offers students several international learning opportunities. They are participate and attend national and international seminars, conferences, and workshops. 

The thrust areas of the Faculty include: Oral Medicine and Radiology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Periodontics, Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics, Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Oral Pathology and Microbiology, Prosthodontics, Crown and Bridge, Public Health Dentistry, Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry.
