Herbal Extracts - Standardization


Overview

The department of Pharmacognosy focuses on establishing the standardization parameters, phytochemical analysis and therapeutic properties of unexplored plants. The thrust areas of research are pharmacognostical studies, phytochemical analysis, HPTLC profiling including pharmacological screening of herbal drugs (diabetes, wound healing, anti-inflammatory, diuretic and neuropharmacology. The department has more than 100 publications to its credit in both national and international journals. Currently the focus is on nutraceuticals and herbal cosmetics.
