Overview

Center for Machine Learning and Computational Intelligence deals with the construction and study of systems that can learn from data, rather than follow only explicitly programmed instructions. Pattern recognition is the recognition of patterns and regularities in data. This subset of artificial intelligence has found many successful applications in the domains of computer vision, image processing, segmentation and analysis, speech recognition and music processing. The development and application of machine learning algorithms in computer vision,data visualization, biomedical engineering, and signal processing, is the core focus area of the Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition subgroup of the Center for Machine Learning and Computational Intelligence.
